Ateneum is a nationwide wholesale distributor of books, paper supplies, jigsaw puzzles, games and toys. From the very beginning Ateneum has prioritised the highest quality of customer service and has taken care of providing a comprehensive assortment of products. We already offer our services to over 5,000 customers in Poland and abroad.

Our wholesaler launched in 2004 and thanks to a customers' needs-focused strategy, Ateneum gained trust on the local bookstore market very rapidly, first locally and then nationwide. Ateneum as a wholesaler quickly took the lead in the south of Poland, and simultaneously spread its business all around the country. Since 2010 it has been expanding its operations to foreign markets as well. In 2008 Ateneum launched a platform dedicated to facilitating collaboration in the B2B sector. In order to provide the most comprehensive assortment for its customers, in 2019 the company expanded its warehouse space to over 12,000 m2, which contributed to its having over 150,000 indexes in its offer. As little as 2 years later Ateneum once more increased its warehouse space - this time to over 16,000 m2, and hence right now its assortment comprises over 200,000 products.

Our distribution centre is based at 12C Półłanki Street, which is located in an industrial zone in Cracow, near the road and rail hub connecting the A4 motorway with the city's eastern bypass road.

According to Puls Biznesu magazine, Ateneum is the most dynamically developing distributor that works in the bookselling market in Poland, which has been confirmed by the company's winning the Gazele Biznesu award on nine different occasions. The Ateneum wholesaler has a Rzetelna Firma certificate, which is testament to a reliable business partner.

In a 2016 report prepared by the London Stock Exchange experts, the Ateneum wholesaler was named one of the thirty most influential Polish companies in Europe. The report focuses on the most attractive and most rapidly developing companies in Europe. Atenum received the Forbes Diamonds award in 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 - the Forbes Diamonds being one of the most prestigious and independent business recognitions for the most dynamically developing companies in Poland.

In 2019 Ateneum was relocated to its very own freshly set up headquarters at Półłanki 12C Street in Cracow.

In November 2020 two opinion-forming papers - Parkiet  and Rzeczpospolita  - placed Ateneum amongst the elite group of a hundred most influential companies in Poland, worthy of entering the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

Reaching out towards our clients' expectations, Ateneum has amassed a versatile offer of products, ranging from schoolbooks, through educational aids, dictionaries, encyclopaedias, guides, belle lettres, children books, albums up until jigsaw puzzles, games, toys and papier supplies.

We have at our disposal a network of sales representatives who offer comprehensive services to our recipients all around Poland. Ateneum offers its contractors a wide range of marketing services positively influencing the publisher's image and the assortment advertising.

As part of its offer dedicated to contractors, Ateneum enables a connection of IT systems with suppliers and customers. The wholesaler has an up-to-date customisable WMS system, a multi-level control of picking and a high standard of preventing merchandise from damage. In Ateneum's warehouses it is possible to store completed orders and have them shipped at a specifically requested date. Ateneum has its own batch of delivery cars and has its IT integrated with leading delivery companies.
